Nostra Maestra

Our Maestra, Debi, started the Chattanooga based cooking school in 2019.  PastaNooga focuses on teaching students how to make ravioli, pasta, and Italian sauces and dishes.

Debi lived in Northern Italy for nearly seven years and learned to make homemade pasta and traditional sauces from her lovely neighbor, Giuliana. Giuliana made pasta from scratch every day, twice a day, and Debi was fascinated by the process.. Before long Debi was kneading dough right along side of her

“Giuliana taught me that homemade pasta wasn’t hard to make, and well worth the effort.”

Debi and Mike (her husband of 35 years) have three children and two grandchildren. They love to travel, meet new people, eat, and enjoy time with their family.

“Mike and I love to make pasta together. With a bottle of wine we have some special bonding time. Plus, my family enjoys homemade pasta so much more than store bought. It’s how they know I love them.”
